Integrated Volunteers Network, Global Youth Peace Committee, And 30 + civil society organizations observed 13th January 2020 as 2nd India Volunteers Day at Deshbandhu College, University of Delhi, marking a new dawn in the aspect and ethics of volunteerism in India. This 1st India Volunteers Day was made unique and remarkable with recognition to 6 distinguished volunteers for their voluntary contribution in their respective fields with 1st India Volunteer Awards & India Volunteer Book – Stories of Inspirations.
Volunteers from Deshbandhu College, Delhi University, NSS volunteers, NCC, academic, corporate & social institutions had their cultural presentations that revolve around the theme of voluntarism, patriotism, and selfless service. These presentations invoked feelings of equality, inclusion, and social bonding. The active participation of more than 250 representatives of NSS and cadets of NCC made the event memorable.
India Volunteer Day: India volunteer day is observed & celebrated nationally on 13th of January annually by IVN Family members, to recall our core commitments as India Volunteer. This day is dedicated to all India volunteers who have been voluntarily contributing to help and save the prospective sustainable development of the country to make a resilient India. India Volunteer Award is targeted on India Volunteer Day to identify, integrate & intensify voluntary power of India .
India volunteer Book – Stories of Inspiration:India Volunteer Book (#IVBook) is a national level initiative, aimed to identify, connect, promote and showcase the exemplary voluntary contributions being made by volunteers towards nation building. The most inspiring stories collected through #IVAwards will be part of India Volunteer Book: Stories of inspiration.
India Volunteer Mobile Application: The Integrated Volunteers Network Application (#IVApp) is a user-friendly mobile application to integrate volunteers from diverse expertise in a common digital platform to save and help the nations requirements with proper information, knowledge and scope. IVApp is an application which Helps in Volunteers to register, Search a Volunteer in real time geographic position, interface to knowledge and volunteerism actions. This will witness the volunteer’s accountability.


India Volunteer Day is an initiative to identify, integrate and intensify the voluntary power of India towards sustainable development goals. This aims to bring together volunteers from Government, PSU, Corporate, Network, NGOs, Academic, rural & Urban.
In order to identify, integrate and intensify leadership through skill and knowledge, the young volunteers of India need to be recognized and volunteering model should be encouraged for promoting sustainability initiatives and resilience actions.
India volunteer day is observed & celebrated on 13th of January annually by IVN Family members, to recall our core commitments as a volunteer for India. This day is dedicated to all #Indiavolunteer who have been voluntarily contributing to help and save the prospective sustainable development of the country, in making a resilient India.
5th December is observed as International Volunteers Day, there is no India Volunteers Day as of now. We need to have a Day dedicated to all volunteers of India, who can celebrate together to take pride on volunteering.

India Volunteer Awards: Celebration of Volunteering Commitments & Leadership to document evidenced-based stories of Inspiration of India Volunteer.

New Delhi: Integrated Volunteers Network observed 13th January 2020 as India Volunteers Day at Deshbandhu College marking a new dawn in the aspect and ethics of Volunteerism in India. This 4th India Volunteers Day was made unique and remarkable with recognition to 11 distinguished Indian Volunteers for their voluntary contribution in their respective fields with the 2nd edition of India Volunteer Awards under 11 categories. The day was kicked off with a classical Odissi dance performance, Abhinaya followed by the melodious song HUM HONGE KAMIYAB by Anushree Dash, India Volunteers. The inauguration ceremony was led by the Volunteers of India Prof. Madan Mohan Verma, President, Interfaith Foundation of India, Chief Guest, Shubhro Roy, Mentor, IVN, Manoj Kumar Dash, Founder & CEO, Integrated Volunteer Network & Mission India Volunteer, Shiv Kumar Nigam, Deputy Director (OL), Ministry of Electronics & IT, Guest of Honour (Keynote Speaker), Major General Dilawar Singh, Director General, NYKS, Guest of Honour (Motivational Speaker)VP Mahawar, Ex-Director (Onshore), ONGC, Guest of Honour, Rajeev Aggarwal, Principal, Deshbandhu College, Delhi University, Guest of Honour, Srikant Bhatia, Editor, Sambad Sindhi, Guest of Honour, Dr.Reeva Paul Gupta, Director, Tech Mahindra Foundation, Guest of Honour. The inauguration was marked with Gift a life (Gifting a Plant), the Launch of www.ivn.org.in web portal, the India Volunteer Mobile Application, and the release of the 2019 India Volunteer Book – Stories of Inspiration.

Representatives from government, nongovernment, NCC, NSS, NYKS, Network, the corporate sector as well as individual change-makers made their presence felt through their innovative presentation, influencing and thought-provoking deliveries, and inspirational suggestions. Besides panel discussions involving participants from a mixed diaspora, the India Volunteer Day was mesmerized by cultural presentations from an inclusive plethora of artists. Volunteers from Deshbandhu College, NSS volunteers, NCC, NYKS, Academic & social institutions had their continued presentations that revolves around the theme of voluntarism, patriotism, and selfless service. These presentations invoked feelings of equality, inclusion, and social bonding for a resilient environment. The active participation of more than 300 representatives from pan India attended the celebration and made the IVD2020 successful.
Winners of 1st India Volunteer Awards
Towards the end of the day 11 awardees, selected from among 213 entries received from all over India, were recognized for their voluntary spirit, contributions and actions. With this, IVN laid down the foundation for a never-ending chain of recognition for the voluntary humane activities in days to come. The entire initiative has brought 50+ partnerships from all sectors to think, connect, integrate, intensify and strengthen volunteerism towards sustainability & resilient India. This initiative was lauded and praised by all and one. Finally, the day was called off with a Vote of Thanks by Manoj Dash, India.
