Global Youth Peace Conference organized ‘Chaupal’ on the 29th of April 2023 to discuss the relationship between youth and government and how can the young participate in various government programs. The program took place at the HarijanSevakAshram located at Guru TejBahadur Nagar, Delhi. The event was led by Mr. BrajShrivastava, under the G20's Y20 initiative.
The discussion was started by Samiksha, highlighting the aims and objectives of the G20 program and the contributions of GYPC by organizing events and discussions like ‘Let's Talk and ‘PACE ’under which 300+ underprivileged students were provided stationery.

Mr Braj, founder of GYPC led the discussion by explaining how we are stepping towards an Era of No War by developing skills among the youth. He also talked about the aims of GYPC, which are:
1. Discussion about the plans
2. Methods to get involved in government initiatives

3. Discussion on how to fulfill G20 Motives with GYPC

The discussion went forward with Mr Ansari elaborating on the need for youth in democracy, Youth in legislature and politics, youth in policy making and governance, and how can youth establish leadership.
Mr Kaushik argued that the participation of the youth is very low in politics at present because the young have a mentality of putting the initiatives and their hopes on others. He also directed the listeners by a mindset that ‘No one can help us, if we don't think for our development.’ He also mentioned that it's not important to be financially strong to be a leader the poorest of leaders contributed to the freedom struggle of India.
Diversifying what Mr Kapish said, Mr Sonu said that everyone can work for an uplifting society and the youth has the power to be active and he can channelize his power for the betterment of the society. He also emphasised the mentality of the mass that is ”We want a Baghat Singh, but not from our house.” Mr Sonu guided us that we should not wait for a leader, instead find a leader within, we should compare ourselves to that we are above many and use it as a propeller towards glory.

Later in the discussion Mr Ansari further guided the discussion towards - Youth in legislature and politics under which we discussed:

1. Challenge of the youth in active politics.
2. Communicating the essentials of an effective democracy to young voters.
3. Highlighting young politicians.

Ms. Bharti suggested one of the most basic steps towards the participation of the youth in democracy that is - Voting. She also argued Mr. Kapish's point by saying that the reason we are lacking behind is that we don't have enough knowledge. So the basic step should be knowing about the government plans and policies and our rights.

Ms Mansi thinks that the youth is distracted by drugs and activities of low importance and they should be educated about the negative and positives of the young population. She also elaborated that job providers should also consider the technical knowledge as well as the social contribution of the applicant before a job delegation. Schools and institutions should have an open mic discussion instead of book learning because it helps us to initiate a curious mindset among us.
Mr. Anand Mishra highlighted the basic quality of youth is the power to change. He also proposed that the reason for low youth participation is we have only collected information, and haven't gained enough knowledge, the reason we see corruption is because we have settled with its existence. As a young population, we should inculcate the value of sacrifice which will help us contribute more to society.

The Chaupal came to an end with Mr. Ansari pointing out the different portals and institutions which invite the youth to Patricia pate in policy formation like the PRS legislature and others.
